Message from the Dean
Welcome to the School of Pure and Applied Sciences. The School aims at producing professional scientists for careers in industry, government and research institutes by imparting knowledge in the areas of Mathematics, Biological and Physical Sciences. Our programmes are designed to ensure that graduates are equipped with practical and intellectual skills relevant to the needs of the society and the job market.
We take pride in our well-equipped laboratories and highly competent academic and technical staff with extensive research experience and international collaborations.
Our School consists of three departments: –
- Department of Mathematics and Statistics
- Department of Physical Sciences
- Department of Biological Sciences
The school currently offers seven undergraduate programmes and four postgraduate programmes that include Doctor of Philosophy. We are working on developing more market driven programmes to meet the high demand for science based graduates.
